YTVD

Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2025

1. What we collect

YTVD collects minimal data necessary to operate the service:

  • YouTube URLs you submit are sent to our server to fetch video metadata and initiate downloads. They are not stored after the session ends (10 minutes).
  • Standard server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) may be retained for up to 7 days for abuse prevention and debugging, then automatically deleted.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • We do not store your downloaded files — they stream directly from YouTube through our server to your device.
  • We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information.
  • We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

3. Third-party services

YTVD fetches video data from YouTube (Google LLC) via yt-dlp. When you submit a URL, your request is proxied through our server — YouTube receives a request from our server's IP, not yours. Google's own privacy policy governs their data handling.

4. Cookies

YTVD does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. No cookie consent banner is required.

5. Children's privacy

YTVD is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
